Georgi Lozanov resigns as SEM Chairman

 Georgi Lozanov handed in his resignation as chairman of the Council for Electronic Media (CEM). This became clear from a statement Lozanov made, which was published on the website of the Council for Electronic Media. 
“I resign as member of the Council for Electronic Media and as its chairman. Having looked through the documents of the candidate for television registration PIK Broadcasting AD, I take the view that there are no legal grounds for being rejected such. I’ve always strived at implementing the law under its regulations regardless my personal views. Meanwhile, I don’t want neither with my voice as SEM member, or with my signature as its chairman to legalise the aggressive rhetoric of the online media in the electronic media, which easily goes into the registers of hate speech, albeit not necessary on grounds of racial, ethnic or religious origin,” he said.
