Decrease in electricity price is likely, due to sharp drop in the price of natural gas: minister

It is very likely electricity price to be decreased as the price of natural gas is reporting sharp downfall. That is what Bulgarian Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova said for BNT.
Regarding a statement made by chairman of the energy regulator Ivan Ivanov, that the price of electricity might be reduced because of lower price of the natural gas, Minister Petkova specified that the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC) were making the relevant calculations and models.
“It is expected, and it is possible electricity price to register a decrease, as we see sharp downfall in price of natural gas. The expected decrease will be slightly more than 20%,” the Miniser said, specifying that further analyses and calculations must be done in order the regulator to come out with a final decision about possible decrease.
