Over 100 tourist companies, branch organisations from Bulgaria and Russia discuss measures for increasing tourist flow in 2016

 The round table discussion organised by the Ministry of Tourism in Moscow generated keen interest. It was participated by more than 100 tourist companies and branch organisations from Bulgaria and Russia which discussed measures to increase the tourist flow in 2016, the press centre of Ministry of Tourism announced. 
Bulgarian Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova and the head of the Federal Tourism Agency of the Russian Federation Oleg Safonov took part in the forum. 
The Bulgarian delegation to Russia included Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly Krasimir Karakacanov, Chairman of the Parliamentary Group for Friendship between Bulgaria and Russia Krasimir Velchev, Chairperson of the Committee on Economic Policy and Tourism Petar Kanev and his deputy Daniela Saveklieva, mayors, deputy mayors, representatives of Bulgarian municipalities and resorts, of Varna and Burgas airports, tourist associations and others.
On behalf of Russia the round table was attended by Executive Director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), Mrs. Maya Lomidze, representatives of federal branch administrations, organizations for economic cooperation, tourism associations and companies, representatives of chambers of commerce, trade unionists, educational institutions and others. 
“Today's hearing of Bulgaria in the Russia’s State Duma [lower house of the Federal Assembly of Russia] is an assessment for everything that the government and business make for Russia market," Minister Angelkova said. 
According to her, the most important from now on is the industry to offer attractive services to report strong growth in the Russian market in 2016. 
The Bulgarian Tourism Ministry will continue to actively present our country in the coming largest travel exhibitions in Moscow - MITT and INTOURMARKET.
The head of the Federal Tourism Agency Oleg Safonov stressed that Bulgaria offered good quality of products and it was very important for the country to develop not only the mass summer tourism but also special services such as SPA, balneo, religious, cultural tourism and others. 
"Bulgaria has a chance to attract more Russian tourists," Executive Director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia Maya Lomidze said. 
She stressed that in the upcoming summer price would be a major factor when choosing a destination so it was important Bulgarian business to offer attractive travel packages.
