2016 National Framework Agreement on Dental Activities signed on Friday

The National Framework Agreement 2016 on Dental Activities was signed on Friday, February 26, 2016, by the Supervisory Council of the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) and the Management Board of the Bulgarian Dental Association (BDA). The agreement will be signed by the Minister of Healthcare Dr Petar Moskov, the press centre of the National Health Insurance Fund announced.
The 2016 National Framework Agreement on Dental Activities brings the agreement brings back the start contract with the full participation of both parties – NHIF and BDA.
The point in the framework is linked with the conditions and control order – it regulates control activity of the NHIF in execution of contracts with providers of dental care, as expanded the powers of supervisory authorities for more effective and efficient use of resources.
The agreement introduces new kinds of control: preliminary, sudden and subsequent.
There is a possibility for accounted not performed activities the contract with a dental care to be terminated.
After long break the arbitration committees are restored. Arbitration committees composed by equal numbers of representatives of the Regional Health Insurance Funds (NHIF) and the respective regional associations of BDA will jointly examine controversial moments of the checks.
