All EU member states must commit to stem the refugee flow, Europe can’t be the Promised Land for all people on the globe: Patriotic Front

All EU member states must commit through their police, army and the fleet to stem the refugee flow. Europe can’t be the Promised Land for all people on the globe. That is what co-chairman of the Patriotic Front, Krasimir Karakachanov, said after a meeting of the parliamentary group with President Rosen Plevneliev, which was held within the Month of Political Consultations, a reporter of FOCUS News Agency announced.
“With its policy at the present, Bulgaria is no longer attractive destination for mass refugee flow. It built border facilities and the Bulgarian border police are doing their job excellent registering all migrants,” Karakachanov commented and explained it was because our country had a strong system to prevent illegal migration and for the practice to register illegally passed migrants which negated their desire to go to another country.
“If registered in Bulgaria are later captured, will have to be returned back to Bulgaria. Greece allows them through its territory to Macedonia and Serbia to Europe. This is the reason for Greece to be flooded with immigrants,” the MP said and explained that Greece was much easier to access country for its Aegean islands.
“The policy of Bulgaria should be very clear and categorical. A person who wants to obtain a refugee status should go with their Ids to border checkpoints where to be registered. No people should be allowed to illegally cross the Bulgarian border. It is a matter of sovereignty and protection of our national borders. Everything else is talking,” Karakachanov said.
In his words, EU member states that have been liberal to refugees now changed their policy.
The lawmaker stated that the main problem of refugees was the instability in the Middle East and stated that Turkey was continuing interfering in these processes.
According to him, the lack of a unified European position over the years has led to the problem of illegal migration.
