Bulgaria among quiet countries: PM Boyko Borissov

 While in Brussels attending the EU-Turkey summit meeting, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissovhas once again confirmed his position that all outer borders should be shut downin compliance with the Schengen Agreement, meaning that crossing borders should exclusively take place via official border checkpoints. „NATO ships are already in territorial waters between Turkey and Greece, so I hope that after today’s Council we could appease all citizens of the European Union”, PM Borissov told media. He pointed to a paradox and it is that Europe demands from Bulgaria to protect Schengen borders under the Schengen standards while the country is in fact not part of Schengen. Ï hope that this paradox will end this year”, he said. “I think that  we should not worry as a nation but we should in the meantime be very vigilant, so for this reason we have installed enough facilities and devices aimed to cover territories in-depth so that we could prevent a possible inflow of migrants”, Boyko Borissov also said.
