Exacta Research: 26% of Bulgarians approve both activity of the PM and the Cabinet

 According to representative national research results, carried by Exacta Research Group in the period February 16 – 14, 2016, 26% of Bulgarians approve both the activity of the Prime Minster and the Cabinet. 
The survey covers 1,000 adults in total of 125 homes in 90 settlements throughout the country. 
28% of Bulgarians approve work of the government, while 60% of respondents disapprove it. In February 2016 the government losses 7% of its confidence among people compared with September 2015, when in the eve of the local elections was reported the highest rating of the Cabinet for over last year. 
Traditional electorate of mandate holder Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (CEDB) highly assess the activity of the government. These are mainly young and wealthy people and citizens in the big cities. 
70% of CEDB electorate back the government, while far negative attitudes towards the cabinet were registered among the electorate of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP). 
Total of 28% of the respondents approve both the activity of the Prime Minster and the Cabinet, which is due to better evaluation of the work of the Prime Minister rather than that of the government, since Boyko Borisov’s rating is 17 points higher than that of the Cabinet in general. 
Positive and negative evaluations of the Prime Minister’s activity are now balanced (45% approving and 45% disapproval).
Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova is the political figure with highest approval rate - 62%. 
17% of respondents expressed disapproval of the work of Mayor Fandakova. The second in largest percentage of support ranks Vice President of the European Commission and EU Commissioner for Budget and Human Resources, Kristalina Georgieva, with 55% approval and 22% disapproval. 
Prime Minister Boyko Borisov takes the third place with equal values of approval and disapproval of his work (45%). 
The top10 of Bulgarian politicians includes also Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Lilyana Pavlova, Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev and Minister of Labour and Social Policy Ivaylo Kalfin, Minister of Culture Vezhdi Rashidov, Minister of Healthcare Petar Moskov, President Rosen Plevneliev and leader of Movement 21 Tatyana Doncheva.
According to the survey, the prosecution and the court received the approval of 7% of the Bulgarians. 
The national representative survey of Exacta Research Group reported a decline of public trust in key state institutions. 
Most suffered the public prestige of the prosecution and the court. Currently, prosecutors and judges are approved by 7% of respondents and approval to the Prosecutor General runs to 14%. Disapproval to the prosecution for past five months increased by 13% and to the court by 12%.
In February 2016 activity of police was approved by 32% of Bulgarians and the army - by 28%. For the past five months the army lost 9% approval for their work, and the police - 8%.
