Turkey – EU agreement gives “new weapons” to Erdogan regime, IMRO says

The demands of Erdogan and Davutoglu, assigned to the EU are an expression of impressive political arrogance, while the attitude of the European leaders reveals a double standard and real carelessness. That is what a declaration of the IMRO – Bulgarian National Movement reads on today’s Turkey – EU summit in Brussels. “Turkey does fail to comply with the previous agreement and continues to flood Europe with illegal migrants. It interferes in an inadmissible manner into the home affairs of EU member-states, such as Bulgaria and Greece. It smashes freedom of speech, raiding the offices of oppositional media with army and police,” the IMRO declaration further says. According to the party under these circumstances the EU promises to Turkey the visas’ dropping for its citizens, the opening of new negotiation chapters for its EU accession and the payment of a ransom for the migrants’ stopping which is twice higher than expected. The IMRO says this “ridiculous agreement is a bright example for Brussels’ failure, hypocrisy and double standards”, giving “new weapons” to the regime of Erdogan.
