Bulgaria PM commented on burning issues during entrepreneurship conference

Bulgarian Prime Minister and leader of the mandate-holder Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (CEDB) Boyko Borisov commented on burning issues before more than 130 representatives of the CEDB Entrepreneurs during a forum held in the town of Haskovo on Sunday.
“Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (CEDB) party has no competition in the right wind. We have taken a categorical course and we are following the right track. We enjoy the absolute support of our European-Atlantic partners. We will not look aside or backwards,” Mr Borisov remarked.
Mr Borisov called upon all entrepreneurs in Bulgaria to create working environment and make production that brings high GDP for the country.
“The interests are low and every well-arranged business can succeed in any field. Huge markets are open, especially in the food industry, stock-breeding, everywhere. I hope that this appeal will reach more entrepreneurs in Bulgaria,” the Bulgarian Prime Minister remarked.
He added that he used to be concerned that the procedures under the national programme for energy efficiency of residential buildings started hesitantly.
“Now I am calm because I see how the blocks of flats turn into really bonny buildings. We have settlements where there are the applications are at 100%. Now, the interest is so high that we provided another billion for the programme. This is a present for the society. It costs nothing. However, no one talks about it,” Boyko Borisov commented further.
Mr Borisov also pointed out that the Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (CEDB) party would not cede a point in terms of the electronic government.
“We find important the water treatment plant, the subway and the rest of the projects, as much as the business and the people care about the electronic government. The same is valid for the electronic voting,” the Prime Minister remarked.
According to him, the electronic identifier indeed eases people’s life because this is a second personal ID number, which can be used for everything.
“You can travel, withdraw money in cash, get easier access to the administration. Either a fingerprint or iris recognition, we just have to select the best option,” Boyko Borisov said further.
Speaking at forum Me Borisov thanked everyone, who set to Greece to help at the refugee camps in our neighbouring country.
“I thank those, who sent food, water, tents for the defence and etc. On Monday we will send TIR trucks with food for Macedonia. This way we show our involvement and solidarity with the suffering of these people, we demonstrate humanity.
The position of the European Council and what we always held firm to is that there is a need to have competitiveness for all counties thanks to the European solidarity. This is the only way to become a big European family,” the Bulgarian Prime Minister commented further.
He added that this was the reason for his proposal to close the borders to be adopted.
“The migrants should pass only through the legal border checkpoints. Those, who escape from death, should be settled in a normal and humane manner. We spend hundreds of millions. We commission police officers at the border, which is very costly for our country, but indeed Bulgaria protects the border as an open Schengen border. After Mr Tsvetanov’s visit to Austria, we welcomed in Bulgaria the interior and defence ministers of Austria. They were impressed by Bulgaria’s good work,” Prime Minister Borisov remarked.
He commented further that he hoped that the EU-Turkey agreement would be cleared out on Thursday and Friday. He added that no one talked in ultimatums.
“I declared in a written form that the liberalisation of the visas for Turkey should be adopted along with the readmission agreement with Bulgaria, as well as with Greece. They should undertake all engagements that the Turkish prime minister undertook at the EU Council. We do not boycott anything but we want things to happen, so as to avoid tension,” Mr Borisov explained.
“You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink,” Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said.
“When we are in a coalition with parties that support us, when one of them insists on something, at least half of the CEDB members should support it. Me personally, I am against the compulsory voting. Whoever wishes, can go and cast their vote – this is democracy. The measure was adopted by the parliament [at first reading] but when we insist on acts that are important for our programme, we should find support, too,” Mr Borisov explained.
