Bulgaria President greeted Catholic community in Bulgaria on Easter

President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rosen Plevneliev greeted the Catholic community in Bulgaria on Easter.

Here is the official greeting address of the Bulgarian Head of State:

“Dear Catholic compatriots,
I would like to greet you on Easter and warmly wish you and your families sound health, love and prosperity!
On these festive days, families scattered throughout the world get back together to celebrate the miraculous Resurrection.
In these moments, shared with our relatives and closest friends, let us remember all those people, who lost their lives as a result of the armed conflicts and barbarian acts of violence.
Let us think of the people forced to leave their homes in search for safe asylum and of the kids deprived of their childhood.
Compassion and commitment to the pain and sorrow of the others, solidarity and understanding should lead our deeds because only together we can face the challenges of extremism and violence.
In these festive days, let us remember who we are and what values we share.
Let us believe in the good each one of us shares in their hearts and let us have the power to do good not only during holidays but in the everyday life.
Let us prove that we deserve our hopes for a better world come true with every step and act we make.
