Bulgaria boasts automobile tourism as well

Bulgaria has automobile tourism as well, stated for the Focus news agency Lubomir Dorossiev, Deputy Chairman of the Association of Automobile Importers (AAI). If a person goes abroad to buy a car, this will cost them BGN 1,000 more than buying it in Bulgaria because we have package prices.

We have become the centre for the sale of automobiles in the Balkans. Macedonians, Greeks, Turks, Albanians, the citizens of the former Soviet Republics benefit from buying cars in Bulgaria because our prices are much lower than these in Western Europe. Moldovians of Bulgarian origin also buy cars in Bulgaria and export them to Moldova where they re-sell them.

If, until now, foreign citizens were looking for cars at a price of BGN 5,000 - 6,000, they now buy cars worth BGN 10,000 - 20,000, even BGN 30,000. AAI expects the increase in sales to be maintained in the next few months.
