Minimum monthly wage raised to BGN 310 as of January 1, 2013

The minimum monthly wage has been raised to BGN 310 as of January 1, 2013. The remuneration of Roma mediators employed under the national programme Activating the Inactive has been increased to BGN 340 for those with secondary education and to BGN 450 for the psychologists and managers hired for individual cases. The size of the money paid for tuition of trainers has been changed and will be up to BGN 200 for not less than 40 classes. (The remuneration was formerly BGN 500, independent of the number of classes). The payment for the promotion of territorial mobility - for transportation costs for presentation of eventual employees to an employer – has been raised and will be up to 20% of the wage for the subsidised job (up to BGN 62) per month; for transportation costs to the settlement of permanent residence and back (once a month) when the training is for a period longer than one month – up to BGN 60 per person.
