Bulgaria’s Council of Ministers approved at its Wednesday regular sitting the contents of the information sheet for the national referendum to be held on October 25, 2015, the press service of the Government announced.

The cabinet approved the appearance and contents of the information sheet, which will contain the question of “Do you support the idea of being able to vote from a distance, electronically at elections and referendums?”

The information sheet contains information about the motives for holding a national referendum on October 25, 2015, presenting detailed information about the manners of voting, the time and places for holding the referendum, and order under which it will be organised.

Bulgarian citizens with voting rights who have a permanent address on the territory of the country as of the day when the referendum date was set – August 10, 2015 – can vote at the national referendum.

Separate white ballots will be used in the voting.

They will contain the referendum question and two possible answers – “YES” and “NO” written in one and the same big letters. Each voter will mark the answer he or she chooses on the ballot, writing “X” or “V” on it, place the ballot in an envelope, then put the envelope in a ballot box, and put his or her signature to an electoral roll.
Voting on the territory of the country will take place in polling stations in which people will vote for municipal councillors and mayors.

Voting will begin at 6:00 a.m. and end at 7:00 p.m.

Voting in foreign countries will start at 6:00 a.m. local time and end at 7:00 p.m. local time.
