“The prime minister said he expected proposals from the Reformist Bloc for new justice minister, otherwise Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (CEDB) would propose”. That is what Deputy Prime Minister Rumyana Bachvarova said after a meeting with the parliamentary group of the Reformist Bloc.

Asked whether during the talks she had felt any tension among the RB, the Deputy Prime Minister replied that she hadn’t felt tension, but rather concern and desire for constructiveness.

“Very significant changes in the Constitution set some new rules in the judiciary. I guess I will hold more meetings with representatives of the coalition, while discussing the proposal for a new minister. What we discussed with the Prime Minister was that it didn’t matter of personal choice but a candidate who will continue this direction of changes that must to happen,” Bachvarova stated. She stressed that at present they didn’t discuss names.
