Bulgarian Deputy Minister Valery Borissov: We expect two-thirds of the state forest enterprises to start working with the new platform for e-sale of wood

We expect two-thirds of the state forest enterprises to start working with the new platform for e-sale of wood, as Information Services AD has already signed a contract for implementing the system in Northwest State Enterprise and with South Central State Enterprise. This is what Valery Borissov, Bulgarian Deputy Minsiter of Transport, Information Technology, and Communications, said at a press conference in the city of Blagoevgrad [78 km south of Sofia], Radio FOCUS-Pirinreported. Mr Borissov explained that he had meetings with the directors of the two aforementioned enterprises where they had discussed the topic in detail. Mr Borissov underlined that one of the major benefits of the system was that it was making charts of the participants in the tender and determining the winner of the tender automatically, without human intervention.
“This will eliminate the factor of subjectivity. The committee that is appointed upon the order of Damyan Damyanov, Director of the Southwest State Enterprise, will only check the application documents of the companies that want to participate in the tenders, as all companies that correspond to the tender requirements will be allowed to participate. The system has special logs that show all actions taken by anyone involved in the procedure. Furthermore, the system has a built-in service called time stand, which verifies the time and content, i.e. each action made in the system is logged by the exact hours, minutes, and seconds of the actions taken,” Mr Borissov added further.
