Ще се наказваме, а?

Повечето новинарски издания днес съобщиха, че Европейският Съюз щял да санкционира България заради високите тарифи на мобилните оператори.

Това твърди дори авторитетният в моите очи Дневник.

За съжаление българските медии не обичат да цитират източниците си на информация, а аз съм свикнал да поглеждам първо там. Наложи се да се поровя малко, но най-сетне открих къде да пия от извора на истината.

По всичко личи, че като първоизточник на повечето материали е послужила статията на Euractiv, озаглавена EU to sanction Bulgaria over inflated mobile prices, която се позовава на парламентарното запитване на Андрей Ковачев от ГЕРБ към комисар Нели Крус (Neelie Kroes).

Хубавото на този материал е, че е сложил линковете към страницата на Европейския Парламент на добре видно място, позволяващо ни да прочетем и какво Крус отговаря, а именно че:

According to the Commission’s Termination Rates Recommendation, adopted in 2009, mobile termination rates (MTRs) have to be set by national regulatory authorities (NRAs) at a cost-efficient, symmetric level by 31 December 2012. Setting MTRs at the level of costs incurred by an efficient operator creates new competitive and investment opportunities in the relevant wholesale market and, ultimately, furthers consumer benefits in terms of affordable and innovative telecoms services.

The Commission monitors that NRAs’ measures are in line with the recommendation, principally by means of the EU?wide consultation mechanism set out in Articles 7 and 7a of the amended Framework Directive. In this context, the Commission will carefully assess the forthcoming market analysis the Honourable Member refers to.

Should the Bulgarian regulatory authority (CRC) propose a price regulation that does not follow the principles of the recommendation and does not address the competition problem identified in the mobile call termination markets, and thereby results in inappropriate MTR levels without proper justification, the Commission may use its powers under the aforementioned provisions of EC law. In this regard, the Commission may inter alia decide to issue comments or recommendations which the CRC is obliged to take into utmost account.

Лошото на материала е, че много силно преиначава думите на Крус, или някой разчита някъде заплахата от наказания?

Но най-лошо впечатление правят нашенските медии, които сякаш по папaгалски само повтарят без дори да погледнат в цитирания оригинал.
