EBRD Provides 20 Million Euro Loan to Raiffeisen Leasing Bulgaria

The European Bank for Reconstruction and
Development (EBRD) makes available a 20 million euro loan to
Raiffeisen Leasing Bulgaria, part of Raiffeisenbank
International Group, to provide financing to small and
medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Bulgaria, says Wednesday a
press release of the banks.

The proceeds of the credit line will be used to provide leasing
financing to local companies for capital investments. Such
capital investments include equipment, light commercial
vehicles, trucks and trailers, cars for commercial use, etc.

The new loan to Raiffeisen Leasing is EBRD's third leasing deal
with the company, bringing the total amount of EBRD financing to
the company at 40 million euros.

EBRD has so far invested more than 2,400 million euros in
different sectors of the Bulgarian economy, thus contributing in
the mobilization of further 5,000 million euros in investments
by other sources, EBRD said.
