A group manipulating electric meters was revealed with the assistance of CEZ

“The care for the client is of utmost importance for CEZ Group in Bulgaria. Therefore, we referred to representatives of the specialised authorities for cooperation,” Stefan Apostolov, Executive Director of CEZ Group Bulgaria, said at a press conference of Directorate General National Police on account of the arrest of a group dealing with electric meter manipulation. The authorities reacted quickly, professionaly and seriously, he added. Mr. Apostolov thanked all employees of the Ministry of Interior and CEZ, who took part in the operation. “CEZ administration has taken active measures since the beginning of the year to reveal this criminal group, whose activities caused losses not only our company. It damaged our clients and the state. We literally declared war to this immoral conduct and the battle will go on. Therefore, the good results soon came; we are fully aware of the responsibility,” Mr. Apostolov added. “ As a result of our close investigations and analyses we found out that the scope of illegal activities of our employees cause great damage. We have punished and sanctioned employees pursuant to the Labour Code so far. In the latest case, however, we referred to the Ministry of Interior because the group seriously jeopardised the public interest,” Apostolov explained. He urged citizens to help in the fight to defend their own interests and the interests of their relatives.
