Producers of green energy protest against the high fees

Over 200 owners of green power plants protested for the fifth time in front of the State Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (SEWRC) against the imposed fee for access to the country’s electricity transmission network, Darik radio reported on Monday. They cried “Mafia” and demanded the resignation of SEWRC’s head Angel Semerdjiev. Then, they headed to the Council of Ministers’ building where they also expressed their discontent.

Green energy producers submitted their appeals against the imposed fee for access to the transmission network to the European Commission Representation in Bulgaria. They reminded that hey had drawn bank credits for building their green plants and forecast that the imposed tax would lead to bankruptcies in the sector.
