Nine candidate buyers purchase tender dossiers for BDZ Freight Services

Nine companies, law firms and a bank have purchased documents for participation in the tender for the privatisation of BDZ Freight Services,” the Privatisation and Post-privatisation Control Agency announced on Tuesday. A total of 2,325,087 shares, representing 100% of the capital of BDZ Freight Services, owned by BDZ, have been put up for sale. The candidate buyers are: Jurista Group Ltd., Sofia, Bulgarian Railway Company JSC, the law firm Georgiev, Todorov & Co., the lawyer Valentin Ivanov, the law firm Grigorov and Partners, the lawyer Todor Angelov, First Investment Bank, Bulgarian Shipping Company JSC, and TD Group Feroviar Roman JSC, Bucharest. The Privatisation and Post-privatisation Control Agency specified that it was not clear yet whom the law firms represent. One of them will probably represent the Russian State Railways, rumoured to be the buyer of BDZ Freight Services and a part of a similar Greek company.

During the next stage of the tender procedure until January 28, 2013, the candidates willing to participate in the bidding will have to submit documents proving compliance with the preliminary requirements to qualify for the tender.
