Fans of French music from around the world arrived for the first night of the festival Francofolies in Bulgaria’s Blagoevgrad

Tens of thousands of music fans gathered at Georgi Izmirliev Square in the town of Blagoevgrad [southwestern Bulgaria] to become part of first night of the 2016 Francofolies Blagoevgrad festival, the press office of the Municipality of Blagoevgrad announced.
Fans of French music from around the world arrived in the town to attend the musical event. Mayor of Blagoevgrad Dr. Kambitov greeted the audience and thanked the organisers. "Blagoevgrad is a stage of world stars such as Patricia Kaas, Gypsy Kings, Patrick Bruel, Bob Sinclair. I am very proud that the festival was revived. At the beginning nobody believed, but there was a man who believed - Gerard, thank you! I thank the entire French team because without them all this would not happen. Thank you for being here," Mayor Dr. Kambitov said.
The president of the festival Gerard Mon wished the audience in Blagoevgrad to become more numerous.
The Francofolies festival was revived in Blagoevgrad after 20 year break, thanks to the efforts of Mayor Kambitov and organisers from the French side.
