New edition of International Video Art Festival begins in Plovdiv

 The new edition of the International Video Art Festival begins on Thursday evening in the city of Plovdiv (Central South Bulgaria). The festival was held for the first time in 2010. This year the festival includes videos over the façade of Trakia District Council building as well as over the emblematic Brotherhood Mound Monument of socialist art in West Region. It will be also held over the facades of other public buildings and monuments, as well as in the Lapidarium in the Old Town. So far hundreds of artists from 43 countries have taken part at the festival. Seventy artists from Israel, Russia, Japan, Germany, Serbia, Poland, France, India, Iran, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the USA, Brazil, Austria, Canada, Denmark, Spain, Columbia, Italy, Turkey, Portugal, Australia and Hungary received nominations for this year’s festival.
