Grain producers refuse to negotiate. The discussion with BDZ trade unions back to its starting point

The Bulgarian grain producers refused to negotiate with the GERB government and did not appear at the meeting of Agriculture Minister Miroslav Naydenov with farmers of all sectors. Naydenov announced before the representatives of the other associations that the European Commission had approved the notification for the reduced fuel excise duty for farmers, which will be published in the Official Journal of the European Union within 10 days. "At the moment, you are witnessing the bitter results of what I, as a Minister, personally contributed to - the National Grain Producers Association has always been given many priviliges," commented the Agricultural Minister. He confirmed that next year the grain producers would receive subsidies worth BGN 25.50 per decare. At the same time, NGPA Chairman Angel Vukodinov closed the national protest rally and announced that tomorrow the tractors will leave the Sofia city.

The negotiations with trade unions of the Bulgarian State Railways start tomorrow again at the level of workshops. This decision was made after a meeting of Transport Minister Ivaylo Moscovski with the strike committees and the trade union leaders. Shortly before the meeting, Metody Hristov, Manager of "BDZ - Passenger Services" Ltd., announced that it was possible the traffic of all trains to be suspended from 8 h to 16 h during the day in order to incur more savings. The general strike of the railwaymen has been running with full force during these hours for 14 days now.
