Four parties to enter Bulgarian Parliament in case of early elections now

In case of early parliamentary elections now, 26.1% of the voters would support GERB (Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria), 20% of the electorate would back BSP (Bulgarian Socialist Party), 6.2% - MRF (Movement for Rights and Freedoms), and a bit under 4% of the voters would support the Blue Coalition, while the Ataka party and OLJ (Order, Law, Justice) would remain outside the National Assembly reporting a drastic decline in the support of their voters. This was announced yesterday by the sociologist Nikola Kolev, citing data from a representative national survey of the Mediana sociological agency on the political attitudes of voters at the beginning of May.

"Bulgaria for the Citizens'' Association and GORD (Civil Alliance for Real Democracy) reported the highest poll results, indicating their forthcoming involvement in the political process as the parties received the support of 5.5% and 0.7% of the respondents, respectively. 34.8% of the surveyed admitted that they would not vote. "Currently, GERB and BSP have a 6% gap, which has not changed significantly over recent months. Thus, if early elections were to be held today, we would have a 4- or 5-party parliament and neither GERB, nor BSP can rely on having a parliamentary majority. Therefore, they must seek to form a coalition," pointed out Kolyo Kolev.

According to the survey, 58.1% of the citizens are disappointed with the ruling government, but most of them do not want early elections because of the fear of an overlap of the economic and political crises. According to most of the polled 1,002 people over 18 years of age, the situation in our country has deteriorated and is likely to become worse.
