2011 proceeds from concessions of mineral resources exceed BGN 61 mln

2011 proceeds from concessions of mineral resources amounted to BGN 63,247,846, exceeding by BGN 16,069,817 or 34% those in 2010. Deductions to municipalities totaled BGN 23,907,378, more than twice higher than the previous year when a total of BGN 11,184,577 were remitted to municipal accounts from concessions.

As of December 2011, there were 382 concessions for extracting mineral resources in Bulgaria - building and stone tiling materials, metal and non-metal minerals, industrial minerals, fossil fuels, oil and gas, announced the Government Information Service. According to the summary report of the committees controlling the concession contracts, 33 of these were concluded in the period from March 1 to the end of last year.
