Bulgarian resorts are among the cheapest and offer some of the most attractive conditions in Europe in terms of the price-services offered ratio, Ignat Arsenov, Director of European Consumer Centre-Bulgaria, said on Tuesday, cited by Focus News Agency .

The Bulgarian resort of Chepelare ranked third in the most popular category of ski runs - from 11 km to 25 km long, Ignat Arsenov said. "Chepelare ranks after two resorts - in Slovakia and in the Czech Republic, but their runs are two times shorter. However, they fall into this category and the prices there are slightly lower than our resort's," said Arsenov.

In the category of runs from 51 km to 100 km long, Bansko ranks first - the cheapest of all 400 resorts in this category, he added.

The data is from a study of the centre on the differences in prices and infrastructure of ski resorts in Europe, which covered more than 400 European ski resorts.

Anelia Genova, Director of Marketing, Advertising and Tourism Information at MEET, expressed her hope that this data is true. She added for BNT that services are improving and cited other studies that show a positive trend. According to her, resorts are working on creating more flexible options for packages and cards in order to be more attractive for visitors.
