Up to 50% lower rents for beaches in the Varna region

Beaches in the Varna region will be let out at 50% lower rents than last year, Darik Radio reported. Seven beaches along the Northern Bulgarian Black Sea coast have been earmarked by the Varna district administration for a 5-year lease. The highest starting price has been set for the central beach in Byala where the bidding for nearly 33 dca will start from BGN 29,000 for each season. The rent demanded is by more than BGN 10,000 less compared to last year.
The suggested opening bid for the Mineral Swimming Pool-South Varna beach has been reduced two-fold from 2010. Tenders have been invited for a consecutive time for the beaches of Kabakum, Chaika-South, Izgrev-Horizon, Fichoza and Chernomorets Hut. Two beaches in the Galata suburb - Samotino and Kamchia-South will remain unguarded this summer. The Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works has not announced yet the tender winners for three other beaches - Romantica, Pasha Dere and Kamchia-North.
