By 28 March, some 96,000 companies had submitted their corporate income tax forms online, announced the National Revenue Agency. As a result of the e-submission of their tax forms, they will receive a discount of 1% of the payable corporation tax for 2010 (but not more than BGN 1,000). The Revenue Agency reminds that the submission deadline for the taxable corporate income is March 31. The NRA call centre will work with extended working hours from 8: 00 to 18: 30 h until the end of the tax campaign.

Corporate income tax returns must be submitted by all companies, regardless of whether they were operational in 2010. The enterprises which were not engaged in business activities last year should file a special tax form after a sample form, but are not required to present an annual report on their activities.

The 31 of March is the deadline set for the submission of the annual tax returns under Art. 92 of the Corporate Income Tax Act of non-profit legal entities (NPLE), engaged in business activities or real estate leasing. NRA representatives explained that all NPLEs should draw up their annual financial statements for 2010 after a sample form of the National Statistical Institute (NSI). Should a given NPLE file its annual tax form with the NRA, along with it, it must submit again there its annual financial report. In case the NPLE does not lodge its tax return with the NRA, the annual financial statements must be submitted to the respective NSI territorial statistical office.
