Final Government payment of BGN 5 mln for the "Water Mirror" in Kardzhali

The Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works has allotted an additional BGN 5,441,254 from the state coffers to cover remaining payments linked to the construction of the grand water-power system in Kardzhali, the Government Press Office announced.

The so-called "Water Mirror" facility was put into operation in 2009. In February this year, the Council of Ministers provided BGN 23,918,010 to pay liabilities incurred from 2007 through to the middle of 2009.

The Council of Ministers adopted resolutions regarding the expropriation of privately-owned land as part of the construction of the Sofia ring-road, Vratsa by-pass and Trakia highway. The properties are on the territory of Sofia, Vratsa, Nefela village, Vratsa Municipality and Kabile, Tundzha Municipality.
