Brussels: What Bailly said is the official position of the European Commission

Last week's statement by European Commission Spokesman Olivier Bailly about the possibility of an additional monitoring report on Bulgaria reflects the official position of the European Commission. This was said at a press conference in Brussels by Pia Hansen, who is a spokeswoman for European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso. Pia Hansen denied the possibility that her colleague Olivier Bailly is a temporary speaker or that he has expressed a personal opinion, BNR announced. President Barroso's spokeswoman added that Olivier Bailly has pointed out that there may be an additional report on Bulgaria, without prejudging in any way if this is going to happen. On Sunday, in an interview for Horizon's programme Sunday 150 Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov said that he does not consider as an official position of the European Commission the warning by its spokesman Olivier Bailly about a possible additional report on Bulgaria.
