The 30th SUBWAY restaurant in Bulgaria opens doors

The global fast food chain SUBWAY opened on Monday its 30th restaurant in Bulgaria, located in the underpass of NDK (National Palace of Culture) in Sofia. Thus, the company already ranks second among the fast food chains in Bulgaria in terms of the number of its restaurants. For the opening of the new establishment, the SUBWAY restaurants will treat all their customers in the country to a second free sandwich.

“Today is a real holiday for us because in just a year we have succeeded in increasing the number of our restaurants by 50% and we are about to gain a leadership position among the fast food chains operating locally,” said Ivan Todorov, CEO of SUBWAY Bulgaria.

With the opening of its 30th restaurant in Bulgaria, the company SUBWAY® is quite close to the realisation of its global purpose to be the № 1 chain in terms of the number of its establishments in the countries where it operates. In the coming months, the chain is going to open new restaurants, expecting to become the leader on the Bulgarian market in terms of the number of its local establishments. The company is actively looking for franchisees across the country and seeks opportunities for development in non-traditional locations, such as filling stations, universities, airports, hospitals, etc.

SUBWAY® is the top fast food chain in the world, with a total of 38,144 restaurants in 99 countries. It has been operating in Bulgaria since 2008 and currently has restaurants in Sofia, Varna, Burgas, Plovdiv, the Sunny Beach and Golden Sands seaside resorts.
