Personal income tax payable with a discount until February 11

Individuals may pay the remaining part of their personal income tax for 2012 with a 5% discount of 5% until February 11, the National Revenue Agency (NRA) reminded. The tax can be paid on February 11 itself on condition the money is transferred to NRA’s account on the next working day. The NRA specified that the discount may be used only if the advance payment was effected in 2012. Advance payment of personal income tax is due by lessors who are obliged by law to make quarterly instalments.

The payment of taxes and social security contributions may be effected by a postal money order payment to the budget or by a bank transfer. In case the person has an electronic signature the payment may be effected via the Internet. No fees are collected for the payment of the personal income tax by individuals.

As of January 1, 2013, all taxes and social security contributions (excluding those for additional mandatory pension insurance) are payable to a single bank account. For the convenience of NRA’s clients bank desks servicing citizens and firms have been opened at most of its offices.
