Borissov: After Trakia motorway, we will build a bypass highway to Burgas

After the completion of the Trakia motorway, the construction works on the bypass highway to Burgas will be launched, stated Prime Minister, Boyko Borissov, at the inauguration of the National Theatre 'Adriana Budevska' in Burgas, reported Focus Agency. He commented that this project would ease the traffic flow through the town. The event was attended by the Ministers of Finance - Simeon Djankov, of Culture – Vezhdi Rashidov, of Regional Development and Public Works - Liliana Pavlova and of Agriculture and Food - Miroslav Naydenov.

The Prime Minister also inspected the repair works on the National School of Music and Stage Arts 'Prof. Pancho Vladigerov' as well as the construction of the road junction Burgas-Sredets-Sozopol. The investment for renovation of the Burgas theater stood at BGN 1.333 mln under the operational programme (OP) Regional Development. Bulgaria will not purchase new fighter aircrafts, until the problems of the theaters along with projects of the R&D and cultural sector are not tackled. The military aircrafts will cost €150 mln, which is a very high price in times of crisis, stated also Borissov.

The disagreements between the Minister of Finance, Simeon Djankov and of Agriculture, Miroslav Naydenov, were settled through a big compromise, stated also the Prime Minister. He delivered this comment on the occasion of the remarks of Simeon Djankov that the Agriculture Minister's performance was not good enough. Besides, the deadline for mounting measurement devices at filling stations will not be extended, stated the Finance Minister. This would cost the companies about BGN 3-4,000, considering that the final deadline was set at the end of March. Borissov explained that at the beginning of this year, the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation would consider the options for reducing bank interest rates, but stressed that the banking institutions were autonomous entities, which can tackle that issue themselves. Banks have a great need to grant loans on efficient projects and therefore, we are putting much efforts to create the necessary business environment.
