Nine Bulgarian TV series to compete for the Golden Umbrella at Mediamixx 2012

Nine Bulgarian TV series will compete for the Golden Umbrella prize during the 18th edition of the International Media Festival Mediamixx 2012.

A foreign jury will evaluate the Bulgarian films produced in the 2010-2012 period.

The jury includes representatives from Russia, the UK, Turkey, Greece and Serbia. Prizes will be awarded for the following categories: Best Film, Best Director, Best Music and Best Casting.

The audience will also have the right to vote and it will even be decisive for awarding the prizes for the favourite actor and actress and for the most popular TV series.

All accredited members of the guild will decide the vote for the Golden Crown prize.

No fund has been established yet for awarding the winner of the big prize – The Best TV Series - but, as of next year, the distinction will be accompanied by a hefty financial premium.
