A new computer-generated image of Sarafovo attack suspect released

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) released a computer-generated image and a copy of a fake driver's license with the photo of a man allegedly involved in the terrorist attack at Sarafovo airport on July 18.

"There is evidence that the man on the photo has used a fake certificate for operation of a motorised vehicle issued in the state of Michigan, US. He also may have used more than one alias," the MIA official statement read. The authorities are urging citizens who may have run into the suspect or have any piece of useful information to contact the closest police station or call the emergency line 112. Their identity will not be revealed. At this point, any piece of information will help the investigation, MIA said. The fake driver's license was uncovered from the remains of the suicide bomber.

Two days after the explosion, MIA announced that the owner of a car rental firm in Pomorie had given a detailed description of the terrorist. But he told the police that the unknown man, who wanted to rent a car for one day, had short hair, not long as in the photo from the fake driver's license.
