Over BGN 1.5 mln raised during The Bulgarian Christmas campaign

Some BGN 1,568,602 have been raised so far during the Bulgarian Christmas campaign. The charity concert in support of the initiative was on Tuesday at the Ivan Vazov National Theatre.

Three Bulgarian Presidents attended the event at the National Theatre - Zhelyu Zhelev, Georgi Parvanov and Rosen Plevneliev. This edition of the charity initiative is under the patronage of President Rosen Plevneliev. Parvanov and Plevneliev watched the charity concert next to each other.

Dozens of musicians participated in the two-hour show. It featured some of our most popular artists, including Vanya Tsvetkova, Elena Petrova, Vladimir Penev, Ruslan Muinov and many other famous performers.

The tenth edition of the initiative is aimed at supporting children with neurological disorders. Part of the money raised in the account of the Bulgarian Christmas is intended for their treatment and another - for the purchase of modern medical equipment.

Music bands like Akaga and BTR, singers Polly Genova, Divna, Miro, Veselin Marinov and Kiril Marichkov performed on the scene.

Everyone can donate BGN 1 per child in need by sending an SMS to the short number 1117 for all mobile operators, or by calling 0900 1117. These phone numbers will be active until December 31.

A total of BGN 19,505,174 were raised during the nine previous editions of the Bulgarian Christmas campaign. Some BGN 5,004,662 helped the treatment of 1,424 children. The remaining money was used for the purchase of medical equipment and ambulances for 153 children's hospitals.
