Luxury car brands are selling off second-hand vehicles by mass promotions

Promotions, buy-backs of old cars and discounts for second-hand cars are the hit in the sale of cars in Bulgaria now, shows a review of Klassa daily of car dealers' websites. According to industry experts, the reason for the mass offering of promotions and discounts in the sale of new cars in our country is the drastic drop in the transaction figures last year. Companies become more and more creative in the battle for customers.

For example, BMW and Mini launched an exhibition for sales of second-hand car and motorcycles yesterday, where they showed their cars at a minimum age of six months or 6,000 km and a maximum age of 60 months or 120,000 km. Mini Next new program for used cars of the brand comes with a two-year warranty and a service option. Company officials told Klassa that the opportunity of buying a car with a certain degree of amortization is interesting and relevant to each market in both good and bad years. According to experts, the price is not the only important factor for this kind of purchase, but also other issues such as the ability of tracking the service history of the car, guarantee, solidity and others.

BMW experts have observed a steady growth in sales and customer interest. This trend is expected to continue at levels slightly higher than the growth in sales of new cars. Customers show great interest in the BMW Series 1, Series 3, X1 and X3.

Porsche BG also offers second-hand cars. The importer of Audi and Volkswagen currently has 148 used cars and light trucks. Out of these, 119 are available with an option to be acquired at leasing, and 44 may be purchased with a tax credit.

Mercedes also falls within the luxury brands that are selling second-hand cars. The firm, which is represented in Bulgaria by Balkan Star Company, offers to its customers one-year old or test vehicles under warranty, with low mileage and in perfect condition. In addition to this, Balkan Star Company launched a few days ago a new RED Diamond program for replacement of used cars, designed for people who want to buy a new Mitsubishi. The company will purchase back old cars at real prices regardless of their brand.

Hyundai launched a similar promotion as well - the company offers the i30 model for BGN 18, 800 without VAT. Besides the low price, after presentation of an old car, regardless of its condition, BGN 2000 are subtracted from this amount and if the assessment of the vehicle is higher, then both amounts are added together to form the new premium.

Peugeot, in its turn, places the so-called outlet for cars. In order to sale the fleet of obsolete cars, the company offers discounts, ranging from BGN 4,000 to over BGN 20,000. The importer of Citroen in Bulgaria, the Automotor Corporation, offers a promotion on 8 car models in stock with a price discount, ranging from several thousand to several tens of thousand BGNs.
