ECOPACK Bulgaria JSC with a 45.93% market share in the recycling sector

In 2010, ECOPACK Bulgaria JSC held a 45.93% market share in the recycling sector, followed by EcoBulPack JSC with a share of 32.83% and Repack JSC with 7.01%, announced yesterday the CEO of ECOPACK Bulgaria JSC, Todor Burgudzhiev. The company's objectives in 2011 are to recycle 50% of total waste.

In 2010, ECOPACK clients declared 116,658 tonnes of packages. In a period of 7 years, the company has developed an extensive system for separate waste collection. The enterprise signed contracts with 27 Bulgarian plants for the recycling of materials within the relevant regions.

From May 2006 to December 2010, over BGN 15 mln were invested in separate waste collection systems. Over 19,600 coloured containers were delivered to 96 municipalities.

In 2010, an automatic sorting facility for glass packages was launched into operation as well.
