BSP nominates Stefan Danailov for Vice President

Stefan Danailov would be nominated for Vice President, decided the National Council of the Bulgarian Socialist Party yesterday. The candidacy of the beloved Bulgarian actor and MP was presented by Sergei Stanishev in person. A total of 102 out of 103 party members in the hall at 20 Positano str. supported the nomination. "He has never backed away from his beliefs and the party, but always has the nobility and the breadth of outlook to give way to other people. This is the most beloved man within BSP. He is a symbol of the party, knowing how to keep our ideals," said Sergei Stanishev. The party leader stressed that the presence of Danailov would strengthen the faith in the BSP candidates nominated for the presidential elections.

Only Georgi Bliznashki, former MP from the left -wing party was against the candidacy of Danailov . He explained his negative vote to the media saying that he knew well Danailov and believed "that this was not a man able to promote the socialist cause in Bulgaria."
