Krassimir Guergov: I expect the advertising market to revive next year

“At a time of crisis, with smaller advertising budgets, we have more prizes at the FARA 2012 festival this year,” Krassimir Guergov, Chairman of the Organising Committee of the event, said on Saturday. The participants in the advertising forum, held September 12-15 at the Albena resort, were 43 advertising agencies with 310 projects. The aim of the festival was to review the progress made by the Bulgarian advertising branch during the January 1, 2011 - July 29, 2012 period.

“This means that people are a bit more creative and I hope that next year, when we expect the advertising market to slightly revive, they will be more creative in their work for their clients,” added Krassimir Guergov.

He added that there is a very strong competition on the advertising market as a whole, especially among advertisers, because they are struggling to gain a market share. “This is why, they should listen to their consultants – the advertising agencies,” commented the businessman.

Guergov’s advertising agency KRES was awarded a gold prize in the creative category Art Direction and five silver prizes – for film advertising, press advertising, outdoor advertising, corporate and brand identity and advertising campaign.

DDB Sofia was awarded the biggest prize at FARA 2012 - for Creative Agency of the Year.

DDB Sofia took the lead from last year’s winner - Noble Graphics – receiving one gold, 12 silver and 2 bronze prizes in various categories and gathering the highest number of points.

Last year’s winner – Noble Graphics – was awarded 8 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze prizes.

Reforma agency was prized Media Agency of the Year and Handy became Advertiser of the Year, thanks to its partnership with DDB Sofia.
