Fourteen Bulgarian wineries to export 1,000,000 bottles of wine to China

Bulgaria will export 1,000,000 bottles of wine to China, wrote wines-info.com, quoting information from the Chinese Department of Commerce, Darik radio reported on Thursday. The purpose of the consignment is to meet the growing demand for wine during the festival, celebrating the Chinese New Year.

The average price of a bottle of Bulgarian wine from this consignment is €6. Fourteen private Bulgarian wineries have been authorised to export their wines to China within the 1,000,000 bottles consignment. Each of them will offer between two and five containers of wine.

Bulgarian wines enjoy an excellent reputation in China, commented wines-info.com. The website reminded that, in 2013, the European Union will provide funding of €2.1 mln to support the export of Greek and Bulgarian wines to China, the USA and Switzerland.
