Gen Konstantin Popov: We started the revival and modernisation of the Bulgarian Army

We started the revival and modernisation of the Bulgarian Army. This is what Chief of Defence of the Bulgarian Armed Forces General Constantin Popov said during the debates for the investments for purchasing a fighter jets of new type and for multi-purpose patrol ships, FOCUS News Agency reported.
“I would like to express my gratitude that the political elite has been discussing the Bulgarian Armed Forces for 4 hours today. This is an extremely important message – a message to the armed forces, to the people working in the Bulgarian Army, to the Bulgarian people, and to the institutions. There is a lot that can be done in the future and new steps have to be taken going forward. I hope that very soon the project for the Land Forces would enjoy the same type of debate and we would take care of our people in uniforms,” General Popov added.
