PM: Provision of lifeguards at beaches should be secured before season’s start, instead of making govt assume expenses for non-provided activities

“I am aware that it is highly important to have lifeguards at the beaches but it is good to secure them before the start of the season instead of making the government allocate additional money to constantly cover non-provided activities.”
This is what Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said commenting on today’s decision of the cabinet to allocate BGN 700,000 for water life rescue activities at the non-protected beaches at the seaside during the active summer season, the press office of the Government announced.
“Life and health have no price that is why we allocate the money and thus help for both people’s safety and the tourism. However, when we have so many tourist branches and companies, they could have secured the beaches themselves,” the Prime Minister remarked.
