Traicho Traikov: The EU should declare a common position on energy projects with third countries

EU member-states should agree on a common position on energy projects with third countries, stated yesterday in Vienna Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism, Traicho Traikov. He participated in a conference on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the establishment of the Energy Community of South East Europe (ECSEE). 

EU funds should be used more for the development of the energy infrastructure in this part of Europe, emphasised Traikov. He added that our country is accelerating the projects for strengthening the gas connections with Serbia, Greece and Turkey. Bulgaria will also insist on the extension of the gas link at Komotini  to the Aegean Sea, which is an additional route for the diversification of gas supplies.
