The state administration offers only 20 electronic services, read a report of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, discussed by the Government yesterday. According to the plans, at least 100 administrative services have to be available on the Internet. The analysis showed that over 10% of the officials polled about the e-services they offer do not actually offer such services. Another 4% believe that the specifics of their services do not allow them to be electronically available. The objective of the report was to gather information about the priority electronic services which should be uploaded at the egov.bg portal, which is also the unifying point of the e-government.

According to 74% of the polled state administrations, these already offer online the electronic services enjoying the highest public effect, as the Cabinet wants. The main obstacle to the development of e-government in Bulgaria is the lack of additional funding for digitalisation.
