Bulgaria is looking for Arab investors for the road infrastructure and ports

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov went with a business delegation on an official three-day visit to Qatar, where he will meet with the Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

The Bulgarian delegation included Ministers Tsvetan Tsvetanov, Nickolay Mladenov, Lilyana Pavlova, Anyu Angelov, Miroslav Naydenov, Ivaylo Moskoski and Traicho Traikov. The delegation includes Mayor of Sofia Yordanka Fandakova as well. The focus of the visit is the Bulgarian-Qatari Business Forum, which Prime Minister Borissov will inaugurate today in the capital Doha. Representatives of 103 Bulgarian companies from various industries - food processing, tourism, construction and pharmaceuticals will attend the event.

Opportunities for investments of Qatari companies in the fields of agriculture, infrastructure and transport will be highlighted as well. This is the largest, until now, presentation of our country as an attractive and reliable investment destination in the Arab world.

Within the framework of the panel "Business Opportunities and Tourism in Bulgaria", Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism Traicho Traikov will present the advantages of our country as an investment destination and prospects for development of specialised forms of tourism.

Moreover, Traikov is expected to meet with Executive Directors from the Qatar Holding and from the Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company. Qatar Holding is a public investment company in the Emirate with investment projects in more than 30 countries worldwide. The Qatar Diar corporation has developed over 75 projects in Qatar and all over the world worth more than $35 bn.
