Violations at Pirogov amount to BGN 700,000

Financial violations discovered at Pirogov amount to approximately BGN 700,000, Health Minister Desislava Atanasova said hours after Professor Dimitar Radenovski was dismissed from the post CEO of the hospital.

The Minister added that penalties will amount to up to BGN 100,000. Penal ordinances will also be issued to both Radenovski and Pirogov as a trading company.

Atanasova specified that all penalties and lawsuits to be filed on the case are the duty of the Prosecutor's Office.

The Health Minister reiterated that her decision to dismiss Radenovski is neither premature nor delayed. Until the competition for Radenovski's position, the post will be taken by Professor Stojan Milanov who was, until now, Deputy Medical Director at Pirogov.
