Bulgarian Socialist Youth calls for measures against the demographic crisis

The Youth Union of the Bulgarian Socialist Party, Bulgarian Socialist Youth, submitted proposals to the Presidency for immediate actions to improve the quality of life and to address the demographic crisis in the country. Bulgaria suffers the most severe demographic crisis across the European Union, as every year our country loses a population corresponding to a medium-sized municipality, Bulgarian Socialist Youth noted in their statement. They insist that President Rosen Plevneliev abandon the planned increase of funds for the Administration and, instead, allocates them for newborns. According to calculations by the Socialists, the amount in question is nearly BGN 10 mln, which can be allocated for children who will be born in 2013.
