Bulgarians arrested in Spain for child pornography

Bulgarians and local people were arrested in Spain for child pornography, announced the Spanish police. Some 20 were detained and 15 suspected of circulating pornography involving children. The operation was conducted in several Spanish provinces. A large quantity of interactive and video material was seized. The pornography was intended for pedophiles online. The exact number of detained Bulgarians has not been specified.

Two operations codenamed Principales and Loba were conducted in Madrid, Alicante, Barcelona, Cadiz, in settlements of the municipalities of Gipuskoa, Huelva, Mallorca, Leon, Malaga, Navarra, Valladolid, Salamanca, Zaragoza, Tenerife, Valencia. The police was assisted by various units for protection of women and children.

Houses were searched and materials seized. Among the people detained are 17 men aged 21 to 69. They are accused of soliciting minors for prostitution on the Internet. Numerous discs, tablets, PCs, phones and other carriers with pornography intended for pedophiles are yet to be searched.
