Imposition of the brand Bulgaria to begin as of September

Imposition of the national tourism brand Bulgaria will begin as of September 2013, Deputy Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism Ivo Marinov announced at the presentation of Bulgaria's new logo, as part of the tourism brand Bulgaria project. Currently, promotional materials are being produced. The choice of the logo is based on a survey in 11 countries. It is only the visual effect of all the work done, Marinov said. According to him, a national brand strategy for national tourism has been developed. The project for the development of the tourism brand Bulgaria is worth BGN 1.4 mln - the amount offered by the contractor. Operational Programme Regional Development granted BGN 2.8 mln for the preparation of the tourism brand. The logo and slogans of the brand itself are for a national tourism brand, and the rose is a brand of the country and it will remain so, Marinov said. "There are various interpretations of the existing rose. It will remain the country's logo," said the Deputy Minister of Economy. After a registration in a platform that will be released in March, everyone will be able to use the logo and slogans of the brand without restrictions. In 2013, an upward development of tourism is also expected, according to tour operators, Marinov explained.
